Times change. Technology evolves. The tweeple tweet. And still, there’s a guy leaning back in his chair, staring at the ceiling, thinking. Just sitting there, firing synapses to come up with a creative solution to a problem. Because no matter how much things change, we’re still in the idea business. Whether you need to move some inventory or build brand loyalty, the solution always starts with an idea. A great idea can set you apart. It’s the currency that buys you consideration and awareness. Today, that idea has a much different life than it did 10 or even 3 years ago. It looks different. Acts different. Feels different. But, it still smells the same (a bad idea is a bad idea). So while staying up on the latest trends is vital, just be sure you make some time to stare at the ceiling for a little while.
